A Central European hard coal producer
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') is a Central European hard coal producer. The Company produces quality coking and thermal coal for the steel and energy sectors in Central Europe through its subsidiary OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), the largest hard coal mining company in the Czech Republic.
Strategically located within the region, NWR supplies to a blue chip customer base in the region, including ArcelorMittal, U.S. Steel, voestalpine, Dalkia, ČEZ, Verbund, Moravia Steel, and ThyssenKrupp.

Following a strategic review of NWR in 2012, we announced in February 2013, clear objectives to grow the business. Over the next five years we want to build on the strengths of NWR and evolve the business from what it is today, a regional coal producer and trusted regional supplier with strong customer relationships to Europe's leading miner and marketer of coking coal. In June 2014, New World Resources Plc and New World Resources N.V. agreed the key terms of a restructuring of the NWR Group's balance sheet and NWR NV moved its principal place of business and address to London. NWR has JORC marketable coal reserves of 58Mt and 186Mt in the Czech Republic and Poland, respectively.
