Coking Plant
NWR operates one coking plant in Ostrava through its wholly owned subsidiary, OKK. OKK is the largest producer of foundry coke in Europe.
The Svoboda facility uses the stamp charging process to produce foundry and blast furnace coke.
Under Coking Plant Optimisation Programme ('COP 2010'), all coking production was consolidated at Svoboda facility. The Jan Sverma plant was shut down by the end of 2010.
